About The SWR

Three artists, three countries, one shared rhythm — crafting songs forged from myth, memory, and the fractures of the modern world. The SWR Project are three friends on opposite sides of the globe making music together. A literal and poetic ambient‑folk band, crafting cinematic soundscapes from the ordinary — turning reflection, resistance, and renewal into music.

Canadian Gothic

Rooted in simplicity but reaching for something mythic, the SWR blends whispered storytelling, spectral textures, and ember‑lit folk tones into a sound that feels both handmade and dreamlike.

The Stage

The SWR Project is a cross continental creative collective shaped by poetry, melody, and emotional truth. Three artists, three histories, one shared voice. Their music moves between whispered confession and widescreen myth, blending intimate storytelling with political clarity, environmental reflection, and the quiet courage of being human.Across a growing body of albums, the SWR explore the places where inner life meets the outer world — love that arrives too early or too late, the fractures of fear and survival, the weight of global events, the pull of memory, and the strange beauty of art that changes how we see. Their songs feel lived in: tender, unguarded, sometimes furious, sometimes playful, always honest.SWR’s work is defined not by genre but by intention. They write with the precision of poets and the instinct of filmmakers, building emotional landscapes that stretch from the deeply personal to the mythic and universal. Every track is a conversation — between collaborators, between past and present, between the world as it is and the world as it could be.

The Players

Steve — Architect, Atmosphere, The Engine Room

Stevie Baby

Steve 'Stevie Baby' P. - USA

From his studio in the USA (his spare room!), Stevie takes the raw materials and builds the world around them. Bass, keys, textures, rhythms, strange little details that make a track breathe — he’s the one who constructs the sonic architecture. He guides the production, shapes the mix, and stitches every layer into a finished piece. If Fletch lights the match, Stevie builds the fire.

(Which Boney M. Track is Stevie ? - Daddy Cool)

Julie — Colour, Motion, The Emotional Thread

Julie

Julie 'Bets' B. - Canada

Julie listens for the pulse inside the early demos and responds instinctively. Her lead guitar lines weave through the track like a second voice — sometimes fierce, sometimes delicate, always intentional. Working from Canada, she adds the colour and movement that turn a good idea into something alive. She’s the melodic counterpoint, the emotional lift, the line that stays in your head after the song ends.

(Which Boney M. Track is Jules ? - Ma Baker)

Fletch — Words, Sparks, First Light

Fletch

The artist formally known as 'Fletch' - UK

Fletch is the ignition point of every SWR track. He catches ideas in the wild — a memory, a headline, a feeling that won’t sit still — and turns them into lyrics and melody. Guitar in hand, he sketches the emotional blueprint, records the raw heart of the song, and sends it out across continents. His role is part storyteller, part vocalist, part signal‑flare: he defines the direction, then lets the others bend it into something bigger.

(Which Boney M. Track is Fletch? - Rasputin)

Roadie Cat — Odour, Fur

Cat

Smelliesaurus- UK

'Smelliesaurus', is a heterochromia white British Shorthaired cat, rescued a couple of years ago. His only job (as he's currently fat and unemployed), is to bring a little calm into Fletch's life, when he's hasn't got the zoomies that is...!

(Which Boney M. Track is Smellie? - Sunny)

The Act

An SWR track begins with a spark — something Fletch collides with out in the world. A film scene, a headline, a conversation, a moment that won’t leave him alone. He scribbles the first lines, hunts for the emotional temperature on his guitar, and shapes the melody until the song’s skeleton stands on its own. When the lyrics and mood lock into place, he records the raw heart of the track — voice, guitar, sometimes a pulse of drums — and sends it across the Atlantic. That’s when the collaboration ignites.Stevie (USA) and Julie (Canada) receive the files like a signal flare. Fletch might offer a hint of the sound he imagines, but the rule is simple: play what you feel. Julie listens for the emotional thread and weaves her lead guitar around it. Stevie builds the world beneath — bass, keys, textures, atmospherics, the invisible architecture that holds the track together.Files fly back and forth.
“What do you think so far?”
“Try this.”
“I'm busy...”
Sometimes the track arrives fully formed in a single day, everyone at home, instruments in hand, ideas snapping into place. Other times it takes a lot longer — slow refinement, new angles, small risks, the patient shaping of something that wants to be better. Then, when the three feel the click — the moment the song becomes itself — Stevie mixes it down, stitching every layer into a finished piece that still carries the fingerprints of all three. The SWR Project is a triangle stretched across continents:
Fletch sparks it. Julie colours it. Stevie builds it.
Three voices, one sound, made in motion.
